There isn't one yet. Only me and Guardian are on the race now so its just a matter of settling with a date for it. Regarding the results of battles, i have posted my battle against Salty Ger in the downloads section and will post my battle against Hannibal in the semi-finals aswell. I spectated the battle between Cathode and Guardian but as far as i remember something happened which denied saving the replay. BTW i may post some screenshots of Assassins Creed 2 on the forum, supposing Classified would be interested .

I thought I would run my army up to his left flank and attack his rear as he moved to the high ground. This was naive and foolish idea. Lastly I pitted my elite infantry up against French elite infantry, also naive and foolish.

I won versus Salty, yet rather than a decisive victory this battle only proved how powerfull artillery is on bottleneck-like maps. The battle was fought over Ligny and the bridges that separated our armies not only denied my cavalry advantage aswell as my infantry's ability to put up a good fight. Since rushing every unit through a single bridge is generally a bad idea due to the massive amount of casualties it will take from a massed volley from 4 howitzer teams, the defender is allowed to hold those same chokepoints with infantry denying the main line to reform for battle but also use the artillery to deal hard blows into infantrymen and their morale.

With that said, the battle was more of an artillery fight than anything else with heavy casualties for both sides and no actual tactic whatsoever.

For the remaining battles of the tourney i would advise choosing flat(er) maps which allow players low on artillery to use their mobility and army size to counter such a setu

I have been defeated. Looking back on the battle I made some pretty serious blunders. First of I chose Denmark. These lesser nations have cheaper troops that are still decent, so I thought I would mass troops and win the day. Bad idea. After loosing to this battle I have came up with some stratagems.

Never choose a "diet coke" nation in a tournament.

and most important

Never fight face to face with French elite infantry.

sry man, i wouldn't use 750 range in battles, ok, they are inaccurate, but the problem is that it disturbs me a great lot, and it keeps me awy from focusing on the other stuff

Omg!!! I cant believe my eyes. The man, whose main tactics is "fire & retreat" is telling that he wants some insurance???
We are all gentlemen & I doubt that someone of us would take 10 batteries of cannons. Artillery duel is a natural part of the battle & i dont think that it would be fear to give someone any advantages when someones doings would go not very good. On War there`s no place for insurance!!!
Anyway, if you want a vote, lets vote (how is it american voting all the time ) but i will vote against. sorry m8

Well, I would like to be able to take, at most, one rocket or mortar to ensure that no one just sits and waits. Should we vote or Grenadier should you make an executive decision?

Personally when I play 1v1s vs random folk I take a rocket or mortar if I am able, although I do not spam the fixed art. Then again, most of the random folk aren't as high caliber as East Battalion soldiers.

I suggest common rules that we usually play online: "no fixed art". just not to make those battles a fight between rocket batteries.
