I agree about 40mm grenade launcher. Most of assault players use it... About the rest- Light tank wouldn't see us before we would see him so we would have time to spread out... mortar strike is dangerous only against standing still objects or buildings, but against moving targets they are useless. Recently I saw several guys that use only RPG but there are not a lot of them. Besides they wouldnt be able to kill all squad by 1 strike.
About moving to point "B" almost right.
On my experience its very hard to survive after facing 2 or 3 enemy soldiers. And I doubt that anyone would defeat squad of 4 trained cool guys as we are!!!

Indeed, group fighting is much better than being alone. One thing we should be weary of is "stacking" close together. A 40mm grenade launcher, rocket, grenade, tank, light tank, and even a mortar strike could kill all 4 of us in one hit! If we are to fight like a group then all of us must all be able to lead the travel. Let me explain.

Here we are moving to point "B". Fusilier is leading, followed by Walther, then Grenadier and myself takes up the rear, this is the order of movement. Then all of a sunden!!!! bam!!! Fusilier is hit with a fucking bomb!!! So now Walther must lead us to point "B" while someone else brings Fusilier back to life. Yes?

EDIT: i changed the phrase in the secon paragraph: assaulting point "b" to moving to point "b"

OK, talking about movements...
If we are talking about single man fighting snake running is good, but if we are talking about squad tactics in this particular game, may be its better to use tactics of SWAT teams.
They use not the same battle-order as in ARMY because they usually fights in close combats in closed premises. The advantage of close order is that that the squad have much more firepower (if one of the team discover the enemy, all soldiers of the squad starts shooting the target) & squad have much better view in movement (two soldiers are watching forward & two others watching the flank).
Of course moving in goops you become an easy target for artillery fire & machine guns, but in this game there are no artillery barrage fire & its not so easy to kill someone even from machine gun.
Besides if there are at least one medic in a group, loss of one or two soldiers is not so urgent...

Movement

Post  Cathode on Tue Mar 16 2010, 08:06

Lets talk about movement.

Run in a serpentine fashion. Side to side like a snake travels.

When moving do not run more than 10 meters without stopping to look for enemies and places to move to.

Take a knee at every opportunity.

Use cover.

I prefer to be rather a medic course you can recall you dead teammates (and thats cool Very Happy ) or rather a engineer course armored vehicles are very strong in this game & other classes are almost useless against them.

Agree.
Btw i think that our enemies are already terrified when they see our Fusilier "dancing" in front of their positions! bounce

Battlefield Bad Company 2

Post  Cathode on Thu Mar 11 2010, 09:29

Good morning ladies,

Battlefield Bad Company 2 is out and on the shelves. It had a pretty poor first couple days with alot of bugs. Though the past 4 hours or so of game play have been bug free for me, so maybe they have fixed it. I really enjoy the game. The vehicles, squad gameplay, explosions, background, and pretty much the entire game really sets the mood for an epic battle. I really enjoy the Sniper. I like to set the motion sensors so my teammates can see where the enemy is on the mini map and I love to release a mortar strike onto buildings. Once I get 15000 points I get the radio powered scope. This allows my squad mates to see on the mini map any enemy I spot with my scope. This will aid Squad Foxtrot in our quest to secure strategic points or blow up enemy supplies. What classes do you guys enjoy playing and what goodies do they get?

Squad Foxtrot - Over the weekend Fusilier, GrenadierRus, Walther and myself played most often in Squad Foxtrot. I think we should continue this so that all enemies will know V.B. Squad Foxtrot and urinate themselves when they see us on the battlefield.

Ventrilo - Skype is cool, but I think for the heat of the battlefield Ventrillo would serve us better. Vent allows you to designate a push to talk key, change the volume of your mic, put effects on your voice, and hell all kinds of stuff. You can even lower the volume on your end of each other person. So in case I am to loud you can just lower my volume. If you guys would like to try it out I have a Vent server. Just download the program from the link, install it, open it, and enter this information into the Server menu.

Server - helepolis.clanvent.com
Port - 8987
Password - apr2003

Join the fight! Get Battlefield Bad Company 2! Squad Foxtrot needs you! Until all the slots fill up, then we'll have to figure something else out. Razz Oorah!
